As Jean-Marie Loirat became a benchmark in the development of technical endurance products, major brands sought his expertise in cycling, triathlon, and trail running.

He originated concepts and products that are still success stories today, some of which have transformed our sports practices.

A true Breton

Thus, in 2008, Jean-Marie, a "true-blue Breton," felt frustrated by his inability to find suitable products. He therefore decided to create his own brand and develop without restraint.

Jean-Marie developed a multitude of products combining compression with intensive sports practice. Kinetik would go on to equip numerous professional teams in cycling and triathlon.

A Lover of Trail & Nature

As a lover of trail running and nature, he began developing more and more trail/running products almost unconsciously. It was therefore natural for the brand to pivot and become a specialist in trail/running.

As he often says, "it's because we primarily make trail/running products that we are specialists".

Kinetik has grown significantly since its inception, remaining one of the few family-owned businesses of its scale.

Kinetik's Successes

Kinetik has achieved significant successes.

Examples include the Ultra Trail Short, which, even in its early days, featured a double layer and an integrated belt – a subtle nod to certain brands that claim to have developed it. Another is the Rocket vest pack, whose incredible weight of 65 grams helps athletes win the world's toughest trails.

Trend by Clothilde

Clothilde joined Jean-Marie in the venture, taking charge of the brand's "trend" aspect. She brought her design talent to the selection of prints and graphics for the products, which are now a true hallmark of our brand; our products are not only technical but also aesthetically pleasing.

Enthusiasm & Innovation

Still based in the heart of Brittany, Kinetik has expanded significantly but has remained true to its convictions: offering ultra-technical, unique, and affordable products to as many people as possible, regardless of their level.

Our enthusiasm drives us to constantly innovate, creating new products that are both lightweight and aesthetically pleasing.

Origin of the name

His father, Gilles, a physiotherapist well-versed in sports compression, inspired the brand's name.

The letter K is also widely used in Brittany.

And so, "KINETIK COMPRESSION GEAR" was born.
